Gold is forty or more separate requirements, each wanting a document, a date, a signature and an answer that matches the last one you gave. We write all of it and complete the portal for you.
Why Gold takes so long
Bronze is a company check. Silver adds the SSIP health and safety assessment. Gold adds the full Common Assessment Standard question set, which is where the evenings disappear.
Forty plus separate requirements
Each one sits in its own section of the portal with its own evidence upload. Miss one and the whole account sits in Action Required while the job you needed it for goes elsewhere.
Answers that have to agree
Your headcount, your turnover, your PAYE and CIS split and your largest contract value all appear in more than one place. If two of them disagree the assessor sends it back.
The Common Assessment Standard set
Quality, environment, equality and diversity, modern slavery, anti bribery, corporate criminal offence, data protection, information security and financial standing. All of it in writing.
Contract value caps
Constructionline cap your declared largest contract at a proportion of turnover. Declare the wrong figure and it is rejected, which costs you another cycle.
Certificates that have to be current
Insurance, competence cards, calibration and testing certificates, all in the correct company name with dates that have not passed.
Version 6 lands on 1 November 2026
The Common Assessment Standard moves to version 6, so anyone renewing after that date answers an updated question set. Worth knowing before you diary your renewal.
Bronze, Silver or Gold?
Buy the tier your client actually asked for. Moving up later is cheaper than paying for a level nobody wanted.
Bronze
Identity, insurance and financial checks. It gets you listed. It does not include an SSIP health and safety assessment, which is what most main contractors are really asking for.
Silver
Adds the SSIP health and safety assessment through Once For All Health and Safety. This is the level that satisfies a main contractor who has asked for SSIP accreditation.
Gold
Adds the full Common Assessment Standard: quality, environment, equality, modern slavery, CCO, data protection and financial standing. Required by most Tier 1 contractors and public sector frameworks.
What it costs with us
£749 for the full done for you service: every document written for your trade, the application completed on your behalf, the evidence uploaded, assessor queries answered by us, up to two rounds, and anything rejected fixed and resubmitted free until you pass. £395 if you would rather have the documents and submit it yourself. £249 a year after that to keep it renewed. Add a second scheme at the same time for £249. The scheme's own membership fee is paid by you directly to them and we tell you what it is before you commit.
What we do, and what we do not
We are a documentation and submission service. We are not health and safety consultants and we are not Constructionline. Here is the line.

- We are not Constructionline or Once For All. They assess and they decide. We prepare, submit and answer their queries
- We do not sell CSCS cards, IPAF, PASMA, SMSTS or NEBOSH qualifications
- We do not invent evidence. Insurance, certificates and accident records have to actually exist
- We do not give legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing on this page is advice of that kind
- We cannot guarantee an outcome where your business does not meet the scheme minimum, but we will tell you before you spend money
Questions we get asked
How long does Constructionline Gold take?
We usually have a full submission in the portal within five to seven working days of you returning our questionnaire. Constructionline then assess, typically five to ten working days, and anything they query comes back to us rather than to you.
What does Constructionline Gold itself cost?
Gold is priced by quote across fifteen turnover bands rather than published as a list price, so we will not invent a figure. Two things are worth knowing: your first year includes a joining fee that does not repeat, so the renewal is lower than year one, and your SSIP is included in the membership rather than charged separately. Ask them for your band and we will work around it.
My application has been sitting in Action Required for weeks. Can you fix it?
Yes, and it is usually faster than starting again. Add us as a user on your account, we will go through every rejected requirement, work out what the assessor actually wants and resubmit. Most accounts we take over are fixable in a few days.
Do I need Gold, or will Silver do?
If the requirement is SSIP, Silver clears it. Gold is for buyers who want the Common Assessment Standard, which is most Tier 1 contractors and most public sector frameworks. Send us the client wording and we will tell you which one you need.
What happens if a requirement gets rejected?
We fix it and resubmit at no extra cost, as many times as it takes, as long as the information you gave us was accurate. That is included in the £749 rather than charged as a variation.
Are you part of Constructionline?
No. We are independent. We are not an assessment body and we have no arrangement with Constructionline, Once For All or the SSIP Forum.
Can you handle the renewal each year?
Yes, £249 a year. We diary the date, refresh the documents, update the insurance and training records and resubmit before anything lapses.
